If you're open to the discipline and detailed instructions of Iyengar Yoga, not only will your practice improve very quickly and dramatically, you will truly find your Yoga Practice!
Thea Daley
Thea Daley (founder/instructor of The Daley Practice) began practicing yoga in 1997 and has been following and studying Iyengar yoga intensely since 2001. In her quest for knowledge and as a vehicle to improve her personal practice, she found herself drawn to the endless refinements of the Iyengar method. As a certified Iyengar teacher, she is presently certified at the Intro Two Level and continues to study in NYC at the Iyengar Institute with her mentors Lara Warren and Tori Milner.

After completing a two year teacher training program at The Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York led by the late Mary Dunn, James Murphy, Anna Golfinopoulos, and Tori Milner, she was awarded certification in the Iyengar method as a Intro One teacher. As student and teacher, the deeper Thea dug the more she realized how much she truly enjoyed the endless learning and discovery Iyengar method brought.
Thea recently spent a year on staff as a teacher at The Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York after working extensively with her mentor teacher Lara Brunn and with world renowned Iyengar teacher Patricia Walden in Boston furthering her qualifications both as a teacher and yogi.

Her passion is to guide students towards a better understanding of this yoga method, by observing the students and teaches them according to what their practice requires. Keeping it simple, Thea believes interest is the most important thing a student can bring to yoga.
Also of note, Thea spent the last 20 years as one of New York's top hair stylists working at Vidal Sassoon, Bumble and Bumble, Sasha and Oliver, and Tosler Davis. This background and working at a world class level has guided her expectations and desire to follow her new passion as a yoga instructor and studio owner to the highest possible level.
Robin Hertlein Candrea
Robin Hertlein Candrea is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher presently at the Intermediate Junior I level and continues to train with Senior Iyengar teachers regularly. She recently spent a month studying with the Iyengar family in Pune, India and was fortunate to observe Mr. Iyengar teaching.
Robin was first introduced to yoga when she was a junior at St. Mary’s High School in Manhassat, Long Island in 1969. One day, Miss Lowinski (her English teacher) said, "Girls, we are now going to do yoga. So move aside your desks and take off your saddle shoes." Robin continued to practice yoga as she went on to become a professional modern dancer and has taught dance and yoga for most of her adult life. She received a Masters in the Psycho-Social Study of Human Movement from Columbia University Teachers College and he began studying Iyengar Yoga at about the same time. She became hooked on it with teacher Rodney Yee a few years later. Theresa Rowland and Joan White have been her primary teachers since 1994, as well as Brooke Myers from the Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York.
Only certified teachers teach genuine Iyengar Yoga. All teachers at The Daley Practice hold the Iyengar Yoga Teachers Certification Mark, a sign of excellence, clarity and depth of understanding. To use this logo, they have to be properly trained and maintain their development. Our teachers are trained to work from a syllabus that comes from the Ramamani Memorial Institute of Iyengar Yoga in Pune, India designed by B.K.S. Iyengar.
